Amy’s All Star Dress Code Requirements

Tap/Ballet/Acro (ages 2-6) –Leotard, tights, skirt (optional) Shoes: Black tap shoes (buckle, Velcro, or elastic closure) and pink leather ballet shoes. Hair pulled back out of face in either a bun or ponytail.

Tap/Ballet and Tap/Jazz (ages 5-7)– Leotard, tights, skirt (optional) Shoes: Black tap shoes (buckle, Velcro or elastic closure) and pink leather ballet shoes/ black jazz shoes. Hair pulled back out of face in either a bun or ponytail.

Ballet/Pointe –Solid Black leotard, pink tights, pink canvas or pink leather split sole ballet shoes *cover-ups may be worn to class but must be removed after warm-up & stretch. Ballet classes are required to wear hair out of face in a secure bun with no whispies.

Tap –Leotard, fitted tops or camisoles, dance shorts, dance capris or leggings, black oxford lace up tap shoes *Tights are required under all dance shorts ages 7+

Lyrical/Contemporary/Modern –Leotard, fitted tops or camisoles, dance shorts or leggings. *Tights are required under all dance shorts ages 7+. Shoes: Half soles or tan foot undies.

Jazz/Musical Theatre/DanceTeamPrep –Leotard, fitted tops or camisoles, dance shorts or leggings. *Tights are required under all bootie shorts ages 7+. Shoes: tan or black slip on elastic jazz shoe *performance color will be determined by teacher

Jazz/Acro –Leotard, fitted tops or camisoles, dance shorts or leggings. *Tights are required under all bootie shorts ages 7+. Shoes: Black slip-on elastic jazz shoe and/or foot undies or barefoot for acro portion.

Acrobatics – ONLY FITTED CLOTHING! Leotard, fitted camisole tops, footless tights, dance shorts, biketard. Shoes: Tan foot undies or barefoot

Hip Hop –Fitted dance tops, camisoles, tank tops , sport shorts/pants, leggings, sweatpants. Oversized or cut off shirts may be worn however; a sports bra or tank must be worn under shirt. Shoes: tennis shoes, converse etc. MUST BE STRICTLY FOR DANCE!!! *NO jean shorts, jean capris or regular jeans. Loose shorts may be worn with biker shorts underneath *

Boys- Fitted shirts(loose is ok for Hip Hop), black jazz pants or shorts with compression shorts underneath. Shoes to match style: Black ballet shoes, black tie taps, black jazz, see HipHop for shoes.

Adult/Teen Classes- Dance or yoga wear of your choice. Shoes to match dance style.

*ALL hair for all classes must be securely pulled back and out of face.

*No jewelry, except small stud earrings.

*Dance shoes are for the classroom only-this includes Hip Hop shoes! They cannot be worn outside the building and street shoes must not be worn in the classroom!
